They say good things come to those who wait, so ‘Rogue One’ fans should have something pretty awesome when Tony Gilroy (A thug), Disney+ and Lucasfilm to come Diego Luna– featuring Andor The series debuts next month on its new date, September 21 (with three episodes). But that doesn’t mean you have to wait that long to get a better look at what’s to come. Not when we have the following preview images to send you:
Previously, Gilroy confirmed a two-season, five-year story timeline that will span 24 episodes. The 12-episode first season will cover the first year of Cassian Andor’s (Luna) story and the rise of the rebellion. The 12-episode second season will then cover the remaining four years before a narrative transfer to A thug. While the series is set to hit streaming screens on September 21 with three episodes, here’s a look at the official trailer for the upcoming Disney+ & Lucasfilm Star Wars: Andor:
The “Andor” series will explore a new perspective of star wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series tells the story of the budding rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It is a time filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
“Tony wrote a big, slanderous [take] on the Trumpian world. Our world is exploding in different places right now, people’s rights are disappearing, and ‘Andor’ is a reflection of that.” Fiona Shaw explained during an interview with Empire. “[In the show], the Empire takes over, and it feels like the same thing is happening in reality as well.” In particular, Shaw appreciates Gilroy’s willingness to emphasize moral gray areas as well as choices difficult that many characters will have to do for the greater “I was impressed by Tony’s social-realistic intentions. He created a whole new morality. It’s very deep and human – there’s grief, mourning, hope, fear. It’s not just the primary colors here,” Shaw added.
Joining Luna are Stellan Skarsgard (Chernobyl), Kyle Soller (Brexit), Genevieve O’Reilly (taking up Mon Mothma), Denise Gough (Angels in America), Whitaker Forest (taking up Saw Gerrera), Fiona Shaw (franchise “Harry Potter”), Robert Emmes (Its dark materials), and Adria Arjona (6 Metro, Morbius). Gilroy serves as both series creator and showrunner, with Toby Haynes (Episodes 1, 2, 3, 8, 9,10), Suzanne White (Episodes 4, 5, 6) & benjamin caron (Episodes 7, 11,12) realization.
