Motorola introduced us to its Edge line of phones in 2020, and it’s continuing that line. We’ve been tracking the leaks and rumors surrounding the company’s latest Edge handset, the Motorola Edge 30. Now, thanks to 91Mobiles, the world finally gets a glimpse of this phone via official images.
These images show the Motorola Edge 30 from different angles
There were a handful of images leaked by the source, and they don’t leave much to the imagination. For starters, we see that these phones retain the familiar Motorola design language found in modern Moto phones. This phone appears to have a glass back with the Motorola logo right in the center. The triple-camera setup is housed in a small, slightly raised glass module. The volume rocker and power button are both on the right side of the phone, and they don’t appear to be as tall as with the Motorola Edge+ 2022.
As for the “Edge” part of the name, there doesn’t seem to be any. The first Motorola Edge phone had an extreme curve to the screen, and the Edge+ 2022 has a curved back. The Motorola Edge 30, based on the images, looks flat on the front and back. The front and back fit neatly into the frame.
As for the color options, based on the images, it looks like this variant of the Motorola Edge 30 will have three color options. One is dark bluish gray, the other is silver in color, and the other is light blue in color. However, they probably have more inventive and gratuitous names.
What specs should we expect from this phone?
Based on recent leaks and rumours, the Motorola Edge 30 isn’t going to be much of a hit when it comes to specs. It is expected to be powered by the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. When it comes to storage configurations, this phone can have 128GB and 256GB of storage.
As for the display, it looks like this phone will have a 6.55-inch 1080p+ POLED display that can run at an impressive (and unnecessary) 144Hz. middle.
For the camera, the Motorola Edge 30 is expected to have a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there could be a 32MP selfie camera. These sensors should use pixel binning.
Lastly, this phone could be powered by a 4,020 mAh battery. Although the battery is not so big, it could be charged by 30W power. You should expect an official announcement before the end of the month.
