Will Ferrell is ghost of past Christmas in new Spirited BTS footage

Will Ferrell very rarely ventures outside of his tried and trusted wheelhouse to act like a petulant man-child, but you can’t deny that it has earned him serious success over the past two decades. That being said, the actor and producer turned 54 yesterday, so he can’t go on and on indefinitely, but he will be heading into slightly uncharted territory as the Ghost of Christmas Past in the upcoming festive musical. Fiery.

It goes without saying that Ferrell is no stranger to the holiday flick that has headlined one of the modern classics of the subgenre with Elf in 2003, but Fiery is an entirely different proposition. A modern update of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol, Ryan Reynolds stars as Ebenezer Scrooge’s stingy substitute, who will no doubt be forced to admit his mistakes after being visited by a trio of spectral figures.

Reynolds shared the first look at the film a few weeks ago, and new BTS footage has now revealed that his co-star has spotted a rather nifty emerald green jacket, which you can check out below.

AppleTV + must bet big on Fiery become a huge success, based only on the money the platform spends only on talent. For the lead role and production, Reynolds and Ferrell would make over $ 30 million each, and Oscar-winning Octavia Spencer certainly isn’t too cheap, either.

daddy’s house The duo Sean Anders and John Morris are in charge of writing and directing, but with filming only started at the start of this month, it’s not clear if Fiery will be ready in time for the Christmas season. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until 2022, because there’s really only one time of the year when you can release a project like this.
